So like the doting giggy giggy ha ha (Japanese for almost mother) I am not, I almost let Dews birthday sneak up on me...It is not for a couple more weeks but try getting a present shipped to Japan on a certain date, that takes some timing... I decided to buy her a bead for her Pandora bracelet, a Harley bead. Pandora does not have a Harley bead, of course it is very tenuous about its trade mark. Mod has these new ride beads so I decided to buy her a mod bead for her Pandora bracelet. I had talked to some sales girls about this before and they assured me the mod bead would fit her Pandora bracelet. Step one what to get is now accomplished. Step two would be to go get the bead. We look up Harley shops around where we are that are with in a couple hour ride. Find one and call open till 5 pm on this Sunday before the forth of July. Step two accomplished, now to find a route there. We could have easily taken the interstate but this being my first time to this area I would rather see the back roads. You know the small dots on the roads that the interstate seems to miss. The mom and pop shops that are not a franchise in every town, the real America... Step three and ready to go.
So bikes gassed up and we are rolling down a little two lane road, it had some bumps but hey It is a road...;D Going over a drawbridge the lights start their flashing of warning that you should stop and at that moment in time, a pick up truck decided to come over in our lane and almost hit Wooly he yelled LOOK ASSHOLE! A calm reaction if you ask me and then we all had to stop at the gates to the draw bridge. Wooly put his kick stand down and turned off the New Wife all the while glaring at the pick up truck. I am sure the guy thought he was going to get his ass pulled out of his truck and kicked but Wooly remained calm. After the draw bridge went down we headed north again at a slightly faster speed to keep from any of the crazy traffic.
We got to the Harley shop I went right in to find the ride bead for Dews bracelet. Found what I wanted had it stashed and went to find Wooly he had found a great Sweater at a great deal. This being summer it might be a hard to sell a hot heavy sweater. I looked around and found nothing I wanted but Wooly found a nice dress shirt for Dew. Her not being here and a return to and from Japan just being too inconvenient if it did not fit, I made Wooly try it on. Glad he is secure in his masculinity to do things like try on a girls blouse to make sure it will fit your daughter, got to love a man like that...:D
While we was in the shop it starred to rain, yes I know there is a reason our ride buddies call me the rain goddess. This was a little a pour for a while and then the kind of rain that on a hot summer ride I would not even stop to put on rain gear. The ride home was a very scenic ride riding south down the coast. I only got a us lost once, okay maybe twice but as I have always said I am never lost just taking a different road.
