Finally some wind.

So yesterday I finally had  enough of this job site and I was 2 seconds away from going postal.   I told all the sub contractors that I don't care if the place burned down. Do not call me!!!  So off  we went.  We was going for a ride,  a much needed ride.  We had some roads to explore, places we had never seen before.  Time to road Zen...;D
We get the girls from their garage and find that Wooly has a dead battery.  He had left his I pod plug in and his I pod was not charging right.  That thing had sucked his battery dead.  Anyway half an  hour later and we are finally on the road.

We take off  and head back west through Massachusetts winding into New Hampshire and finally turning around shortly after entering  Vermont .  Our first stop was  at this place called Chapel in the Pines.  It was really neat spot on top of this hill with beautiful rock work.  I like rocks, some thing I don't think even I knew till some one pointed out that everywhere I go I take  pictures of rocks...  Anyway the really cool  rock work was over shadowed by this great medallion's that was all over the rock work.  Son of the Pilgrims, Mothers of the World war.   But this one was my favorite...

Anyway after leaving there, Wooly and I some how got behind a organised ride of nine bikes.  You know the kind where they  all play follow the leader, ride staggered, follow the speed limits etc.  We could tell we was making them nervous as we was riding abreast through the straights and the curves.  We followed them for about 20 to 25 miles when our road went one way and they went another. I think it might have been on purpose on their behalf .
By this time I was starved I had some yogurt for breakfast but no food since and it was 2 pm... So we stopped in the next little town to try to find food.  No luck, the only thing open was a little pizza place.  I have tried the pizza up here twice, and that was enough for me.  So another hour and we find a Friendlys.  At this point I did not care if it was a greasy spoon, I needed some food.  I was past the point where the starving tummy was taking over and making the rest of me a total bitch to ride with.  Also a note, this is probably one of the reason the OM loves me on my own bike he can not hear my stomach or my mouth, lol...  Anyway I had a salad and off we go again to return back home... well to the place I have called home for the last 6 weeks. The ride back was not as great as I think it could have  been. Might have  some thing to do with we got on a super slab instead of the alternate road that was suggested..
On the way back and almost to home I was running low on fuel.  I really need to fill completely but as Wooly usually runs out before me I quit totally filling up.  Anyway we stopped for gas and a cold drink and right across from the gas station was a very old cemetery.  I was to intrigued  and had to  go look.  The oldest stone was 1702 that I found but there was two that really peaked my interest...
Cool  head stone.  I thought wow he must have been a pirate or something but no he was a  doctor or something.  Anyway the much needed ride was full of some great little surprises some twist and turns that makes two wheels fun and then home for a great glass of wine... Wish everyday could be this great.

Dews Birthday present

So like the doting giggy giggy ha ha (Japanese for almost mother) I am not, I almost let Dews birthday sneak up on me...It is not for a couple more weeks but try getting a present shipped to Japan on a certain date, that takes some timing... I decided to buy her a bead for her Pandora bracelet, a Harley bead.  Pandora does not have a Harley bead, of course it is very tenuous about its trade mark.    Mod has these new ride beads  so I decided to buy her a mod bead for her Pandora bracelet.  I had talked to some sales girls about this before and they assured me the mod bead would fit her Pandora  bracelet.  Step one what to get is now accomplished.   Step two would be to go get the bead.   We look up Harley shops around where we are that are with in a couple hour ride.  Find one and call open till 5 pm on this Sunday before the forth of July.  Step two accomplished, now to find a route there.  We could have easily taken the interstate but this being my first time to this area I would rather see the back roads.  You know the small dots on the roads that the interstate seems to miss.  The mom and pop shops that are not a franchise in every town, the real America... Step three and ready to go.
So bikes gassed up and we are rolling down a little two lane road, it had some bumps but hey It is a road...;D Going over a drawbridge the lights start their flashing of warning that you should stop and at that moment in time, a pick up truck decided to come over in our lane and almost hit Wooly he yelled  LOOK ASSHOLE! A calm reaction if you ask me and then we all had to stop at the gates to the draw bridge. Wooly put his kick stand down and turned off the New Wife  all the while glaring at the pick up truck.   I am sure the guy thought he was going to get his ass pulled out of his truck and kicked but Wooly remained calm.    After the draw bridge went down we headed north again at a slightly faster speed to keep from any of the crazy traffic.

We got to the Harley shop I went right in to find the ride bead for Dews bracelet. Found what I wanted had it stashed and went to find Wooly he had found a great Sweater at a great deal.  This being summer it might be a hard to sell a hot heavy sweater.  I looked around and found nothing I wanted but Wooly found a nice dress shirt for Dew.  Her not being here and a return to and from Japan just being too inconvenient if it did not fit, I made Wooly try it on.  Glad he is secure in his masculinity to do things like try on a girls blouse to make sure it will fit your daughter, got to love a man like that...:D
While we was in the shop it starred to rain, yes I know there is a reason our ride buddies call me the rain goddess.  This was a little a pour for a while and then the kind of rain that on a hot summer ride I would not even stop to put on rain gear.  The ride home was a very scenic ride riding south down the coast.  I only got a us lost once, okay maybe twice but as I have always said I am never lost just taking a different road.
