This is just a way to keep some of the misfortunes and fun times in check... Or when my mind finally goes I have it documented.

Famous for a second
Last night I got a message from a girl friend wanting to borrow my picture from this blog for a blog she writes. She is one of the few people who has stuck with me for, well for more years then either of us care to admit, lol. Any way I sent her the picture she wanted plus 3 other pictures of me on my bike and she chose I picture of me on a friends bike. I have to admit that I like the picture she chose. Also I think I look damn good on this friends bike, hint, hint.... Any way here is the link:http://kansascityonthecheap.com/

Sunday's ride
I am working in Boston for the next couple of months, put in to a state I have never been to before. First I get to scratch that off my list of states to see and second I get to ride in a area I have never been to. Always a plus to explore a new place. Now before I got here I was talking to a friend back home and told him that my next job would send me to Boston. His reply was" I would rather have a sun burned dick then go back to Boston" WOW, now my mind was thinking what the hell am I in for? Not being a guy I had to only imagine what a sunburned dick would feel like, should I be concerned? Should I take a bike or should I just run and hide. All good questions if you ask me.
Now getting there was a long drive but I got to spend a day with a friend that lives in New York and that made the entire trip there worth the long drive. After leaving my friend and heading the rest of the way to where I will call home for the next few months, I timed my arrival wrong and ended up in rush hour traffic. I know think I know what my friend was referring to... 24 miles took 90 miles to drive, yep I would not like doing that on even a weekly bases yet alone on a daily one. Can we say road rage big time.
So any way, Sunday we get some time and decided to ride up to Laconia. Not really being into the big bike rally's no more I am just not all that thrilled but a ride, no matter where, is a ride and that is what I love the most in life. Wooly,I thought had a ride plan, nope he had a direction and no idea how to get there. So only getting lost once or twice,(by the way you meet the nicest people when lost in America) I finally put to gather a ride plan to get us the rest of the way there. We rode through some pretty roads we made our way to lake Winnipesaukee. Now that was pretty, a bigger lake then what I was expecting and like most lakes has some curves.
When we got to the lake we stopped at a scenic over view to take a picture or two. We watched a bi plane fly over and as we was playing touron I was trying to get some pictures of the thing because on the wing was written WOW... Now I never got that picture but got to thinking is that wow or mom? Yes I know my mind works in mysterious ways, lol. I did get a picture of the plan but I had only taken my small camera and not my big camera the picture is not what I wanted . Also in my last post I put a picture in and it really did weird things to the post. So until I figure that one out I will keep the pictures off the postings. Any way it was a great little ride once we got there and off the interstate. The people are friendly and very helpful around here so far no sunburned dick, LMAO...

Before I left the expensive storage locker I took a small bike trip to see friends for Christmas. Yep here it is June and I am still trying to take care of Christmas from last year. So Christmas packaged wrapped up with a pretty bow strapped down to the back of the New Wife off Wooly and I go to deliver package to said recipients.
For a change we was running early so we shot past our meeting place to sneak up behind them when they passed us. We can be sneaky if the mood strikes us...;D So setting in a little gas station on the side of the interstate a lady starts a conversation with us. She thought it was great that we was celebrating Christmas six months early. I had to explain that we was celebrating six months late, she thought that was odd that we could not get to our friends sooner. Some times it is just not worth the trouble to explain the circumstances that leave me celebrating such things as Christmas so late...

So today I decided to take Mydol for a spin. It was different almost foreign to me to hop on her, to start her up and to ride her. She is a different girl then the Submarine and there are some things I missed so fast on the Submarine and some things that took me a few miles of putting around on some back roads to remember why I love Mydol.
I only took me to the end of the driveway to remember I have NO MUSIC on Mydol... Not just no I pod, but NOTHING, no radio and no cd player. I guess it is official this makes me a total Yuffie biker now... ( Young urban failure ...LOL )
I can not ride with out music and It only took a few miles to remembered the strange looks I would get from some people. I knew they thought I was crazy when riding on Mydol because I would be signing to myself going down the road, bopping my head around to a beat only I knew or could hear...
I missed my fuel injection at first, I had almost forgot how to turn the gas on. It is automatic when on the Submarine, turn her on and wait for light to go out hit button and the Submarine roars to life. On Mydol you have to choke her when she is cold and let her warm up, yep fuel injection beats calibration hands down. But once Mydol warmed up she ran like a charm, she did not miss a beat and I was proud of her
The most important thing I had forgotten is how Mydol corners and how I can dip her deeper and faster then the Submarine. I know it is the weight difference but Hell me and Mydol could Tango if I so felt like it. Mydol with the smaller frame then the Submarine really makes for a faster ride through the corners and it did not take me long on the lake road to remember how good she handled.. She was always good at racing through some twists and bank's...:D
